Learn English Smarter: Daily Habits That Make a Big Difference
Learning English doesn’t have to be difficult or boring if you build the right daily habits. Small actions, done consistently, can make a big difference in how quickly you improve. In this post, I’ll share simple and practical ways you can start using English more every day.
-
Talk more in English. Ask and answer more questions. Don’t worry about making mistakes. When you make a mistake, learn from it.
-
Talk with the teacher when you get to the lesson (ask how’s it going, ask what did you eat for lunch, what did you do yesterday and more). Talk with your classmates.
-
Think of more you can do besides just what the teacher asks. For example, if the teacher says write 5 sentences, you should write 7 if you have time. Always check your work for grammar mistakes and spelling mistakes. Does what you did make sense? Think carefully about what the teacher taught you and how you can use that to complete the task.

Write in English every night before you go to bed. Start with one sentence. Then two to three sentences. Then a short paragraph. You can write about what you did that day or anything you want. You can use these websites below for help. Your speaking ability is closely related to your writing ability. Speaking and writing are output and listening and reading are input.

Use AI to improve. You can use the voice mode of ChatGPT and try Hachi. Talk with AI just like you would talk with a friend. Ask for it to correct you and explain why (in English or Vietnamese) so you can learn from it. You can use Replika to make an AI friend (and talk with your friend often).
-
Watch EngVid videos and take the quiz after you watch the video. This will help you get stronger at grammar. Always take a quiz after you watch a video about learning English. If there isn’t a quiz on the website, you can use AI to make a quiz for you.
